“What was so ironic about this experience is that my entire career, I had been in every other discipline that impacted health, but I was never a patient. Now all of a sudden, I was the patient and I was fighting for my life. All the skills I learned fighting for my children and advocating for my families…now I was advocating for myself.
My Story & My Mission
I am deeply committed to empowering people to take better care of their health & well-being.
I’ve spent 15 years - my entire career - diving into all the major disciplines impacting a person’s health: medicine, public health, health policy, special education, clinical research, and care coordination. Before even beginning medical school, I served over 1000 families while working to address the health and resource gaps for families across Northern California.
Then I got cancer.
I was diagnosed with life-threatening cancer during my medical training in 2018. After debilitating medical treatments left me feeling hopeless, I became open to the world of complementary and alternative medicine. Things my doctors and colleagues said “wouldn’t work.” Yet, I found tremendous relief and evidence for ancient holistic practices, particularly Ayurveda, India’s ancient medicine practiced over 5,000 years.
My mission is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western, ancient and modern, natural and pharmaceutical medicine by bringing credibility to all treatment modalities with a potential to heal. When it comes to your health, I believe that EVERY option with proven results should be on the healing menu.
